Hello, I am Pat Wanas.

My journey into the world of beauty began with the love of styling hair at age 5. As a child, I sat on my front porch steps and called out to all those who passed by “can I brush your hair?”

As I progressed in the beauty industry, I was ready to open my own salon. I saw there were no local salons that were catering to holistic, healthy, organic hair products free from harmful chemicals and that were good for everyone and the enviornment, especially for the many who suffer from allergies and autoimmune disorders.  As a society, we have recognized the value of organic foods, yet traditional hair dye, straightening chemicals and other styling ingredients are not at all healthy, and have been known to cause cancer, contain endocrine disruptors and have negative reactions especially those with gluten intolerances. And the aromas from toxic chemicals can make some clients outright nauseous.  The Cocoon Studio is committed to using organic and non-toxic products that are free from harmful chemicals.  The result is beautiful hair color that actually lasts longer, non toxic smoothing treatments and luscious treatments that won’t hurt your hair or your wallet. 
 
Beauty comes from the inside.  How you feel inside has much to do with what you put on and use to support your body.
